DescriptionThe Director General of the INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY (IAEA), Dr. Sigvard Eklund, has appointed Mr. John C. WEBB as special - assistant with effect from 1 November 1963. Mr. WEBB, an expert on the prospection, mining and production of nuclear raw materials, has been a member of IAEA's secretariat since 1959. Educated at the University of Wales (UK), Mr. WEBB served as Research Officer of the South Wales Coal Owners Research Organization 1943-46. In 1946 he took up a post as Director of Mining Education in New South Wales, Australia, and became Registrar at the New South Wales Technology University in 1949. He was Senior Lecturer in Mining Engineering at that university 1951-53. In 1953 he was employed by the Australian Atomic Energy Commission as Principal Field Engineer.
