Details
If the Results tab lists one or more records*, and you click one of those records, then that record will be displayed comprehensively on the Details tab.
* Each object description in a database is saved in a so-called record. So, a record contains data that belongs together because it describes for instance one publication (author, title, number of pages, etc.) or one archival record. The details page provides more detailed information on the record. Where available, the details page will include a preview of the image that is displayed when clicking on the thumbnail or for audio recordings a media player that enables the playback of audio files. The hierarchy structure, provided at the bottom of the page, shows the location of the displayed item within the hierarchy of fonds, sub-fonds, series, etc.
Browsing through the records
In detailed display you will only see one record at a time. You can browse to the detailed display of other records from the search result by clicking the two inner arrows at the top of the record; with the outer arrows you’ll browse to the first or last record in the result.
Selecting records
To the left of the record, there is a star. Click it to mark the record, and it will be included in your personal selection. That selection of data can be used later on (from the Selection tab) to print out, or to request the selection, for example.
You deselect a record by clicking a marked checkbox again.
Printing or downloading the currently displayed record
The currently displayed record can be printed or downloaded as CSV file: click one of the options Print (printer icon) or Download (CSV icon) in the column on the left, to do so.
