说明Delegates of Member States of the INTERNATIONAL ATOMIC ENERGY AGENCY (IAEA) have assembled in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, upon the invitation: of the Brazilia Covernment, to take part in the 20th Regular Session of the General Conference at the Hotel Nacional. 82 countries are represented, as well as the United Nations and some of its specialized agencies [Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), United Nations Industrial Programme - (UNIDO)] , also the Council for Mutual Economic Assistance (CMEA), European Atomic Energy Community (ECD), Inter-American Nuclear Energy Commission (IANEC), International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM), Nuclear Energy Agency of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (NEA). The General Conference elected Professor Hervasio G. de Carvalho, Chairman of the Brazilian National Energy Commission ana Governor for Brazil on IAEA’s Board of Governors, as its President.
