说明Research Work for IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency) at Vienna University. A sample being put into a well-type scintillation counter. A large part of the radiation from the sample hits the crystal - visible as a white ring within the heavy lead shield - producing small flashes of light, called scintillations. The rate of scintillations is a measure of the amount of radio-active substances in the sample. IAEA/29 Nov.1958/No.395 – B11. Please credit IAEA
