ОписаниеLord Chalfont, United Kingdom Minister of State For Foreign Affairs With Special Responsibilities For European Affairs, made a courtesy visit to the headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna. He had informal discussions with the Director General, Dr. Sigvard Eklund, and other senior members of the Secretariat on matters related to the Agency's responsibilities when the Non-Proliferation Treaty comes into effect. Lord Chalfont, who is in Vienna as Minister-in-Waiting for the State visit of Queen Elizabeth, was closely associated with the discussions in Geneva of the United Nations Eighteen-Nation Disarmament Committee which formulated the proposals for the Treaty.
