Описание6763/B/34. India, 1968. In sympathy for India’s plight following two years of widespread drought, the people of Holland collected over $9 million in a collective effort under the Food for India Foundation. This money, often arriving in India as much needed fertilizer, is being put into agricultural development in conjunction with the Indian committees of the Freedom from Hunger Campaign of the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO/FFHC). Part of the effort is in the east of Madhya Pradesh state, where Dutch drillers have Water Development Society carry out a large drilling programme to find water to drinking and irrigation.
