ОписаниеAEC-70-8801 MOONDUST PROFILE -- A tiny speck of moon dust magnified some 700 times by a scanning electron microscope at the Atomic Energy Commission's Oak Ridge Y-12 Plant (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) revealed this cameo profile that might he labelled "Man in the Moon," "Indian Chief," or "Woman with Bonnet." The dust speck, smaller than the period at the end of this sentence, was being examined by Y-12 research chemist R. K. Bennett when he discovered the surprising resemblance to a human head -- including chin, mouth, nose, eye, forehead, hairline, and cheekbone. The dust specimen, obtained during the Apollo-11 mission, was loaned to U. S. Atomic Energy Commission installations in Oak Ridge for a number of analytical studies.
