DescripciónMONTREAL - In-plant acceptance testing of the nuclear power plant simulator for Ontario Hydro's Pickering nuclear generating station at Pickering, Ont. is being carried out at CAE Electronics Ltd., which has developed and manufactured the simulator for the Ontario utility. The simulator complex is an exact operating duplicate of the control room for one of the four Pickering generating units. It includes an instructor's facility, a digital computer system and the computer programs necessary to simulate the behaviour of the generating unit. Operators will be trained on the simulator to develop experience in responding to normal, abnormal, and emergency conditions which they might encounter. March 10, 1976
