DescripciónA tritium (radioactive form of hydrogen) measurement unit to be used in connection with the world-spanning work of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to help in mobilizing water resources was presented to the Agency at its laboratory in Vienna, Austria, by the Government of the Netherlands. The evaluation of ground water resources, for which the tritium measurement unit will be used, will not only benefit countries of arid zones, but also those parts of the world where the ever-increasing industrial and other demands for water are due to create serious shortages in the foreseeable future. Netherlands Ambassador and President of the Agency's General Conference 1964, Mr. H.F. Eschauzier, handing over the counter to the Director General of IAEA, Dr. Sigvard Eklund. From left to rights Mr. Eschauzier and Dr. Eklund. IAEA/September 1964/1350. Please credit IAEA
