DescripciónAEC-70-8912 Archaeological survey was conducted for the Pacific Gas & Electric Company by the Central California Archaeological Foundation from March to June of 1968. During this time, eight different archeologically significant areas were excavated and sampled. Thousands of artefacts were uncovered numbered and prepared for exhaustive laboratory analysis. Finds ranged from the Chumash Obispeno Indian burial grounds (shown in photo) to projectile points, milling implements, bone knives, hammer stones and the like. It is expected that the knowledge gained will add substantially to the understanding of early inhabitants of this part of the coast. Credit: Pacific Gas & Electric Company
