DescriptionA preliminary assistance mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency, headed by Dr. Harold Smith of the IAEA's Division of Isotopes, visited China (Taiwan), Japan, the Republic of Korea and the Philippines in May and June 1959. A survey was carried out in order to determine the most effective means by which the atomic energy programmes of those countries can be developed and how the Agency can assist in this development.
