الوصفInternational Atomic Energy Agency's Dosimetry Project at Vinca. Dosimetry experiments have been carried out at the Boris Kidric Institute at Vinca, near Belgrade, under the direction of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). Contributions to this international project were made by nuclear energy authorities in Yugoslavia, France, United States and the United Kingdom. The dosimetry project is designed to obtain further data on the effect of radiation on man and, in particular, to assess more precisely the radiation doses received by some persons during a brief run of the Vinca Zero Power Reactor on 15 October 1958. l. to r.: Mr. Jacky Weill, Mr. Henri Jammet and Mr. Jacques Furet talking to the Belgrade correspondent of Agence France Presse. Mr. Weill and Mr. Furet were in charge of the French team from Saclay who had redesigned the control and safety mechanisms of the Vinca Zero Power Reactor. There were responsible for the operation of the reactor during the experiments. Mr. Henri Jammet was the French doctor who treated the victims of the accident at the Curie Hospital in Paris. He was an observer of the experiments. IAEA/27 April 1960/No. 558
