الوصفILO EXPERT TRAINS CLERICAL WORKERS IN AFGHANISTAN. Mrs. Olga L. CROCKER from Canada is the INTERNATIONAL LABOUR ORGANISATION'S clerical training expert in Afghanistan. Stationed in KABUL, Mrs. Crocker helps train small classes of office personnel in clerical skills — often by demonstrations and audio-visual means. These teaching methods prove a boon to learning, as most participants generally speak only the main official language (Farsi). Additionally, ILO expert Mrs. Crocker has written clerical and secretarial manuals which the Afghan Government has translated into Farsi. One interesting phase of her work has been advising the Government on office procedures, so that administrators can keep pace with the requirements of Afghanistan's expanding economy.
