DescriptionFIVE WISE MEN SURVEY ATOMIC ENERGY Five of the world's most noted nuclear scientists, drawn from France, India, SSR, UK and USA made a survey of the present state of atomic energy and made predictions for the future. In a lecture series arranged to mark the tenth regular session of the General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), they examined the impact which had been made on society, the potentialities of power, the commercial future, effects in the life sciences and the state of fundamental research. Those taking part, in the order of their addresses, were Sir John Cockcroft (UK), Professor Louis Neel (France), Professor Alexandr Leipunskii (USSR), Dr William Webster (USA) and Dr A.R.
