DescriptionThe Juelich Nuclear Research Centre is in possession of two research reactors. The picture illustrates the heavy-water cooled and moderated tank-type reactor FRJ-2 (DIDO), on which about 50 vertical and horizontal radiation tubes are available for experimental purposes. They are primarily utilized for radiation of reactor materials and for neutron-physical experiments.
